New
Q&A -
"We have Buddha, Christ, Joseph Smith, and Muhhammad with similar stories. How
do I know what is myth and what is real?"
"CofChrist has pretty
actively moved away from Joseph Smith's Bible and Book of Mormon. In the
congregation where I grew up, people bring their NIV bibles, not the JS bible.
The world church has also begun educating people to the reality, actively
letting people know that Joseph Smith had multiple wives, that he really was a
nut case looking at a rock in a hat instead of translating actual plates. I
think the church is slowly distancing itself from Smith's doctrine. Do you think
the church can reach the point you would consider it Christian?"

New Q&A - "After reading Paul Trask’s book, and other books by authors not affiliated with the church, I know I must leave it behind in order to move forward. I want to write a letter of resignation, for I believe it is one of the steps to moving on with a more Christ-centered life. Do you have any ideas on how to do this?"

Coming Soon! We will soon have The Bible vs. Joseph Smith available for purchase on the DVDs page.

New Video! This is the video testimony of Peter Elliott of Western Australia. We will soon be publishing a book of Peter's entitled Reasons for Disbelief, which tells the story of Peter's studies which led him out of the RLDS church in the early 1980's. This is a fascinating book, which includes some very revealing statements from RLDS leadership.
Peter's video testimony is most fascinating as well. It comes to us courtesy of Riverview Church of Perth, Australia. Enjoy!

Thursday evenings at 7pm, January 8, 15, 22 & 29. Paul will provide a Biblical analysis of Joseph Smith's priesthood system, which is common to all branches of Mormonism. Paul Trask has begun teaching an ongoing class at East Side Baptist in Independence, Missouri, entitled A Closer Look: Examining the RLDS Faith. It meets at 9:00 am in room 307-B. Beginning September 28, Paul will begin laying the foundation for a Biblical analysis of Joseph Smith's priesthood system, which is common to all branches of Mormonism. This is an in depth study which focuses primarily on Biblical priesthood, and Biblical ministry. Joseph Smith's fraudulent priesthood system becomes most evident by comparison.
Both former RLDS and non-RLDS members attend this class, which closes in prayer each week for those still following Joseph Smith's errors. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn the real message of the Bible, and thereby be able to discern between truth from error. All are welcome to attend.

A new Letter to the Editor dated June 11, 2006 from a "silent supporter." This person has discovered the truth about Jesus Christ and about the RLDS/Community of Christ church. For the time being, however, they have decided to remain in the CofC church in order to support their spouse, as difficult as that is to do. While we have no idea who you are, we want to thank you for having the courage to speak out and contact us. We believe many such "closet believers" remain trapped in the RLDS/CofC church for a variety of similar reasons. May this letter be encouraging for you, and enlightening for the rest of us.

The Los Angeles Times today published a front page news article entiltled "Bedrock of a Faith Is Jolted: DNA tests contradict Mormon scripture. The church says the studies are being twisted to attack its beliefs." Recent DNA tests demonstrate that Native Americans have no Middle-Eastern ancestry whatsoever, flatly contradicting long-standing claims of the Book of Mormon. Living Hope Ministries has produced an excellent video presentation (DNA vs. The Book of Mormon) of these findings, which includes Mormon apologists.
