  • A new Letter to the Editor dated June 11, 2006 from a "silent supporter." This person has discovered the truth about Jesus Christ and about the RLDS/Community of Christ church. For the time being, however, they have decided to remain in the CofC church in order to support their spouse, as difficult as that is to do. While we have no idea who you are, we want to thank you for having the courage to speak out and contact us. We believe many such "closet believers" remain trapped in the RLDS/CofC church for a variety of similar reasons. May this letter be encouraging for you, and enlightening for the rest of us.

  • We also want you to know that we have embarked upon yet another publishing project. as soon as The Long Way Home is published (see above), we will focus on publishing a book by Ron Luff. Ron's testimony has been on our website for some time. Ron was involved with the Jeffrey Lundgren cult which murdered a family of 5 in Kirtland, Ohio in the spring of 1989. Lundgren is currently scheduled to be executed in Ohio on October 24, 2006. Ron is currently serving a life sentence for his involvement. This cult grew out perverted RLDS and Book of Mormon theology. Ron has since repented of his sin and accepted forgiveness and new life in Christ. He has written a personal account of how the Lundgren cult devolved into murder, shortly before disbanding altogether. His account is a sad but riveting story of cult mind control and spiritual perversion. While other (inaccurate) accounts have been written by outsiders, this is the only account written by one of the actual cult memebers. Please pray for us and for Ron as we strive to make his story available.

  • I want to thank those of you who have prayed for the new book I have been writing (see January 31 below). I have finished the primary writing, and the book is in the process of being edited. When the editing is finished there will be a variety of other matters to deal with. The book will proabably be available sometime this coming fall. Your prayers have made a difference, for which I am most appreciative. While the matters which lie ahead are largely mechanical in nature, I would still appreciate your prayer support until the book in finally in print. The enemy of our souls has a way of throwing up obstacles along the way. Thanks so much.

  • I (Paul Trask) wanted to let you know that I have taken some time off work to begin writing another book. I have felt the Lord's leading for some time now to write a book to help people who have left a psuedo-Christian cult, such as the RLDS/CofC church, make their way into genuine Christianity. I have begun writing already. So I would like to ask you to pray for me as I do this. Please pray that God will use me to write what He wants written for the benefit of His people. And please pray that I will be sensitive to God's leading, and put in this book only what He wants there. I truly covet your prayers in this, and thank you in advance for remembering me and this book. God bless you.

Paul Trask's first book, Part Way to Utah: the Forgotten Mormons, has been republished in a second edition, updated for the RLDS name change to 'Community of Christ.' The second edition also includes a Foreword by Dr. R. Philip Roberts, President of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.

The book now has a perfect binding (instead of spiral) and a new cover.

It is still available at Amazon.com and at several bookstores in the Independence, Missouri area.
